BEFORE BOOKING

• A complimentary initial consultation over the phone or video chat. Please feel free to schedule a call with me here.

• Once the date, time and location is determined a separate invoice will be sent to you for the 50% deposit to hold the event date. The deposit is due 24 hours once the invoice is sent.

• Chase Quick Pay, Venmo, ACH checking, credit cards are accepted. A 4% fee for credit card transaction (this fee must be paid in cash or bank transfer only).

• Final payment is due 1 day prior to the event date.

• Travel fees may apply for out of town events and may include flights, airport transfer and hotel for Trinh and assistants.

• Late payment will incur an additional $50 fee per day.


AFTER THE EVENT

• Approximately 75- 100 images for every hour booked depending on how much details your event has.

•Usual editing is complimentary. The editing (ie. cropping, exposure, color, contrast correction) process takes approximately 3-5 weeks from the day the final payment was received. The editing time depends the current queue.

• Special requests for advanced editing can be done for an additional fee. Advanced retouching includes, but is not limited to, blemish removal, teeth whitening, flyaway hair removal, double-chin removal, face-slimming, body altering, the possibilities are endless! The retouching process takes approximately 4 weeks.

• Your photos will be available online for download or to order prints. Online order gallery will be valid for 7 days. After the expiration of your gallery, a fee for $50 will apply if you want to re- open the gallery.

• Your photos will be archived in my backup storage for 6 months. After 6 months the photos will no longer be available.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1. Why does it cost so much for photos?

There are many cost that you do not see in running a company, we are a real company with real expenses some including – car/gas, software, hardware, equipment maintenance, editing time, commuting time, website hosting, gallery hosting, taxes, phone, internet, and the list goes on. We have to factor in the cost of everything otherwise we would not have a business to provide you with nice quality photos.

2. What kind of equipment do you use?

Trynh shoots with a Canon R6, Contax 645, sometimes 35mm film cameras. Different lighting equipment on and off cameras. The Team use various cameras from Canon, Nikon, Leica to Sony.

3. Do you have backup photographers who will shoot the event if you’re sick?

Yes, our company currently has 10 photographers.

4. Can we have special requests of photos?

Yes, we will work with you to accommodate you as best as we can.

5. What are the restrictions for sharing photos online or for publication? Do you own the copyright to the photos?

You can share them online crediting Trynh Photography. Trynh own the copyrights. The copyrights are available for purchase.

6. Will we receive high resolution jpegs?

Yes, you will receive a gallery with web size images. High resolution images storage are available at current rate.

7. Do you offer any discounts?

We completely understand that events may be costly, unfortunately, We are not able to offer discounts or negotiate rates. We put a great amount of care and hard work into each clients that we take on and refuse to provide less than my best work, period. We do however, offer referral discounts. Invite friends by giving them $300 of their booking (have your friend mention your name). For every offer redeemed, you’ll also get $300 off your booking.

8. How long will it take to receive my images?

It takes between 3-4 weeks after your event day to receive your images, 4-5 weeks during busy season. Usually they are done sooner but we cannot guarantee the exact time they will be ready. Please be prepared to wait the maximum amount of time.

9. Will the photos be retouched and color balanced? Is that done before I see the proofs?

The photos will go through usual editing of cropping, color, contrast adjustment etc. All images will be hand selected and edited before it is delivered to you in an online gallery.

10. Why do you charge tax?

Many people don’t realize that photography is taxable. Labor and services leading to a product (i.e. High Resolution Files on a USB Drive, prints, or an album, etc.) are taxable in California which is why 8.25% tax rate is charged on all coverage options.

THE FINE PRINTS


Due to the high demand for photography sessions with Trynh Photography, you must pay a deposit to hold your date. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to hold your reservation. Final payment, less the retainer is due the day of your booked session.


If for any reason, client changes session date, the retainer can be transferred to a new date if the photographer has the date available: otherwise, there is no refund for retainer paid. Photographer will only honor the original fee if the new date is within 6 months of original date. If the new date is not within 6 months of the original date, the client can choose to pay current photographer’s rate, or forfeit their retainer.


By paying the invoice you are agreeing to the terms stated here. To reserve the session, Client shall pay to Photographer, upon execution of this Agreement, a non-refundable reservation fee of 50%.


If the client is unsatisfied with the images for any reason due to circumstances that are not controllable by the photographer (ie. weather, body image, hair, clothes, etc.), the client may reschedule and pay for another session.


Client understands and agrees that the Photographer will not book other sessions during this time. In the event that Client cancels the portrait session or fails to attend the session on the Session Date, for any reason, Photographer shall suffer losses that are difficult to ascertain. As such, Client agrees that, in the event of cancellation by Client, the deposit shall be forfeited by Client and paid to Photographer as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Client and Photographer agree that such amount is reasonable. Prices and policies are subject to change without notice.


Client understands that Trynh retains the copyrights of all images and will not use for commercial purpose or monetary gains. Clients cannot reproduce the images for commercial use without permission or additional fees.


By paying this deposit, you have read the Fine Print and Policies and are in agreement.
