Maternity + Newborn

BEFORE BOOKING

• A 50% deposit is required to confirm all bookings, this amount will go towards your final payment and is due within 24 hours of the invoice to reserve your session date and time. If your booking is within 5 days of the shoot, the balance is due in full at the time of booking.
• A Session Guide is sent to you after the deposit is made and date is confirmed, the guide includes location options, wardrobe, styling, and etc. I will be available to assist you through the planning and styling process via email/text/phone call.
• Venmo, Zelle, e-Check, cash, credit cards are accepted. A 4% fee for credit card transaction (this fee must be paid in cash, Venmo or Zelle).
• Final payment is due on the date your session before you will receive your photos. You will receive your photos within 2-4 business weeks after your final payment is made. Late payment will incur an additional $50 fee per day.
• Tips are appreciated, but not required.
• Referral program, invite friends by giving them $300 off their booking (have your friend mention your name). For every offer redeemed, you’ll also get $300 off your booking.

CANCELLATION & LATE POLICY

• The deposit is NON-REFUNDABLE for cancellation. No exceptions. This fee covers initial communication, all planning, location hunting, and blocking off a specific time frame, we held the time for you and were not able to book someone else.
• There is no fee to reschedule due to weather changes, however, I will determine if we need to reschedule.
• If no call no show, you are forfeiting your booking fee and we will not schedule again.
• It is $100 to reschedule if notice is given 7 days prior to the shoot, if the notice is given less than 7 days prior to the shoot it is $200 fee to reschedule. Reschedule must be within 1 year of the booking date.
• TARDINESS: please plan enough time to get to your session. If you are running late please call us. If you have a 60minutes session, and you are 20 minutes late, you will then have a 40-minute session. If you are more than 30 minutes late without calling, you will forfeit your booking fee and we will have the right to cancel the session. We respect your time and we ask that you respect ours. If we are late, we will communicate that with you.
• Late payment will incur an additional $50 fee per day.

THE MATERNITY PHOTO SESSION

• Most clients schedule their photo session between 28 and 36 weeks. (It all depends on how much you’re showing, and which phase of pregnancy you’d like to capture. I recommend not scheduling too close to your due date, for obvious reasons like babies having their own timeline!)
• A maternity session doesn’t have to be during the above time range. It could be a pregnancy announcement or gender reveal session, or both! We're happy to offer a discount if you would like to schedule multiple maternity sessions.
• The lighting for outdoor sessions is best during the 1-2 hours before sunset or during the 1-2 hours after sunrise. The lighting for indoor sessions varies depending on the location, but is typically best between 10am and 4pm depending on the time of the year.
• You can either do the shoot on location, in your home, or at a studio (studio rate may vary).
• You can include other family members or pets, if there you have pets or toddlers, please make sure you have someone to watch them when they are not in the photos.
• During this stage of your pregnancy, you may feel uncomfortable and awkward about their body. We will help prepare you the best I can to help you feel comfortable and ready to have a fun shoot! We will work together on ideas, curating wardrobe, practicing poses that you like.
• Your photos will go through the usual editing, and extra love and care retouching (nip & tuck in certain areas) to make you look the best shape, but keeping everything as natural as possible.

THE NEWBORN PHOTO SESSION

• We only take 1 newborn session per week. Once your appointment is booked, we will make a tentative booking based on your due date and then wait to hear from you when you arrive home from the hospital with your brand new baby, we can then arrange a set time and day for your session.
• The best time to book a posed newborn session is during your pregnancy, and the ideal time to photograph your baby is within the first 3 weeks of life so they are nice and sleepy. We can photograph them after this stage, however, they will be more awake & alert sometimes making the session much longer.
• You can either do the shoot in your home at a studio (rates depending on the chosen studio). always keep babies happy, comfortable, and safe.
• We do not provide newborn clothes or props. We have a few basic wraps. We will use what you have, if you need ideas on what to purchase please let us know.
• Your session can take anywhere from 1.5-2 hours, allowing enough time for feeding and comforting. Our main focus, besides providing you with the best photographs, is to make this an enjoyable experience for you and your child. Our photo sessions allow time for breaks, ample time to change outfits and also time for any much-needed snacks. By the end of the hour, we want you to feel as relaxed and content as you can possibly be.
• We will want your newborn sleepy/calm for the entire session, please DO NOT withhold any feedings from your baby prior to our session, instead, we will work closely together in determining a good time based on any feeding schedule. It is very important your baby gets a full tummy prior to the beginning of the session so we can spend the most time taking pictures during your session.
• Besides mom and dad, other family members can be added to the session for $50 per person. For twins please add $200.
• Due to the nature of newborn photography, sick siblings/parents will NOT be allowed in the session out of the protection for all my newborn clients.

POST PHOTO SESSION

• We will narrow down the photos to the best images that are edited for correct crop, white balance, and sized to be print ready. This gallery will be ready within 3-4 weeks after your session, 4-5 weeks during busy season.
• Editing is a basic correction of images whereas retouching is actual photo manipulation to change the look. Usual editing and routine retouching is complimentary. Special requests for advanced editing can be done for an additional fee. Advanced editing includes, but is not limited to: removal of tattoos, acne, blemishes, birth marks and other imperfections you might want fixed or altered. Any requests that requires extensive retouching or a specialist, a custom quote will be provided to you. The retouching process takes approximately 4 weeks.
• Your photos will be available online in a password protected gallery. You can download the images in high resolution and web resolution. The web resolution images is not recommended for printing if you decide to use an outside printer. The high resolution images are sized ready for prints. If you'd like to print large canvases, you can request the images to be resized accordingly at no charge.
• The online order gallery will be open for 7 days. After the expiration of your gallery, a fee for $50 will apply if you want to re-open the gallery. You can request to have your gallery open longer or re-open gallery free of charge, if you plan on placing a print order.
• Your photos will be archived in my backup storage for 6 months. After 6 months the photos are not guaranteed to be available. Longer storage can be requested for a fee.
• You’ll have printing rights which means you can print them anywhere you would like. However, you should know that not all labs are created equal, so please choose your lab carefully. I only use a professional lab available to professional photographers, but I’ll recommend a great lab for you. I highly recommend printing through my online print store in the gallery that is delivered to you.

THE FINE PRINT

Due to the high demand for photography sessions with Trynh Photography, you must pay a deposit to hold your date. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to hold your reservation. Final payment, less the retainer is due the day of your booked session.

If for any reason, client changes session date, the retainer can be transferred to a new date if the photographer has the date available: otherwise, there is no refund for retainer paid. Photographer will only honor the original fee if the new date is within 6 months of original date. If the new date is not within 6 months of the original date, the client can choose to pay current photographer’s rate, or forfeit their retainer.

By paying the invoice you are agreeing to the terms stated here. To reserve the session, Client shall pay to Photographer, upon execution of this Agreement, a non-refundable reservation fee of 50%.

If the client is unsatisfied with the images for any reason due to circumstances that are not controllable by the photographer (ie. weather, body image, hair, clothes, etc.), the client may reschedule and pay for another session.

Client understands and agrees that the Photographer will not book other sessions during this time. In the event that Client cancels the portrait session or fails to attend the session on the Session Date, for any reason, Photographer shall suffer losses that are difficult to ascertain. As such, Client agrees that, in the event of cancellation by Client, the deposit shall be forfeited by Client and paid to Photographer as liquidated damages and not as a penalty. Client and Photographer agree that such amount is reasonable. Prices and policies are subject to change without notice.

Client understands that Trynh retains the copyrights of all images and will not use for commercial purpose or monetary gains. Clients cannot reproduce the images for commercial use without permission or additional fees.

By paying this deposit, you have read the Fine Print and Policies and are in agreement.
